I stepped of the tram and almost right on to this bad boy. All I could think of was 'Fuck you Smith st, fuck you'.
A bit of back alley action in Northcote. This is a terrible picture of a used condom. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother.
We were walking through Edinburgh Gardens in North Fitzroy on a Saturday afternoon. We were quite stoned and the sun was shining through the trees and I thought to myself 'This is it, this is a moment, this is one of those times that will stick in my mind and when I die it will be part of the slide show that flashes before my eyes. If I do nothing with my life (which is highly likely) at least I can say I was there and I have seen it'. Then I saw this guy taking a piss.
I managed to get my shot though, this sort of picture used to make me lament the whole aging process. Not any more, now I understand that it's just being in the right place at the right time, preferably somewhere with trees and a sunset. It's not hard really, trees are everywhere and sunsets happen pretty much every day.
So I was worried for a while there that I only saw ugly things, but that's incorrect. It's just that I tend to only take photos of ugly things. I see beautiful things all the time, it's just that often they are fleeting and not the sort of things that you can capture with a lens.
